I am Program Officer at the US Institute of Peace where I conduct research on Economics and Peacebuilding. I recently finished my PhD in politics at Princeton University. My focus was on peacekeeping and intervention. I am also interested in global emergency response, gender and conflict, and the micro-dynamics of war.
My dissertation, “Peace for Keeps”, is on the deployment and effects of United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. I examine the strategic interaction between the UN, the host government, and the rebels, and what this can tell us about the role of sovereignty in International Relations.
